Personality: Sekkusu basically is just out for herself. If something seems like something will further her own goals or make her stronger, she will undoubtedly go after it. The only exception to this is when Kureno asks her to do something, at which point, she drops everything and hops to it.

Backround: Sekkusu was born in the land of Hot Springs. It's a largely peaceful country only having an army as required by the daimyo. Sekkusu was part of a privileged family and had few real friends. That all changed when she wandered by the Shinobi Academy and saw a demonstration being done by a couple of high ranking Shinobi. She became fascinated by them and entered herself into the Academy. Driven by an intense greed for power, she quickly grew tired of the excruciatingly slow pace of the lowest ranking teachers. While still attending the Academy, she sought out other avenues to gain the intense power she desired. She soon found the Cult of Jashin. At first, she was amazed by their practices and incredible power. However, she soon grew tired of the many prayers and constant rituals. Before she would quit though, she learned of a ritual that would grant the participant immortality. So, she endured the painfully tiresome nature of the religion until she was finally granted the highest rank in the cult. As part of the rite to this highest honors, was the ritual to grant immortality. Upon completion of the ritual, Sekkusu rose and quickly dispatched the other cultists with the Axe she had been given upon entering the cult. Thus, ending the religion of Jashin.

Sekkusu spent the next few years traveling around the world, leaving her village far behind a slash through her headband. She learned many things from the people she met and grew in power with each passing day. She was traveling through the Nation of Fire, known to be home to the Hidden Leaf Village. While walking through the woods, she discovered a lone traveler. Low on funds and excitement, she decided to attack this person, apparently a Hyuuga, she judged by his milky eyes (See this topic for the whole fight). By the end of this fight, Sekkusu had dedicated her life to Kureno forming a team that will be known as the Akatsuki.
